TURBO HYDRO JET BOX ®
DICOSY GMBH is your competent partner for fire-fighting and disaster control. Our Core business focuses on the development and expansion of Turbo Jet Technology (THJ®) and individual systems for fighting, preventing and controlling major events and disasters.
The system is equipped with a domestic turbofan engine and two commercially available spray jet monitors. It is designed as a compact closed unit in container construction as a box. All energy systems are integrated in the box and operate as an independent unit. The jet engine carriage operates at a height of 4 to 5 m above the roof construction so that:
- the jet engine can suck in air without interfence
- no particles from the ground, sand or dust are sucked
- fire-fighting on buildings above the 2nd or 3rd level can also be carried out directly through a window
Applications
- Thinning, damp and wash down toxic clouds and aerosols (e.g. ammonia, chlorosilane, hydrocyanic acid, radionuclides)
- Fighting large and pool fires with water and foam (e.g. tank farm, container, drum storage)
- Three-dimentional cooling of objects and equipment (e.g. chemical plants, steel mills, tank, indstrial columns, complec steel structures)
- Shielding installations and objects from fire sources
- Pressure aeration and smoke extration (e.g. tunnel, large-capicity storage)
Function
The concept is base on an air transported spray jet. The spray jet (with a medium droplet size of approximately 400µm) is applied to the exhaust jet of an aircraft engine. This creates a water curtain of more than 100m (up to 120 m).

TURBO HYDRO JET - 80
The “little” brother of the Turbo Hydro Jet box offers new solutions for fire protection and disaster control – THJ80 System.
This individually adjustable module helps fire brigades, authorities and disaster control worldwide to master their daily requirements from a safe distance. The module can be mounted on any existing fire fighting vehicle, on turntable ladders or on remote controlled tracked undercarriages and can be used immediately.
By adding different additives, e.g. a 3-dimensional and area-wide disinfection (e.g. in stadiums, train stations, leisure parks, etc.) can be carried out within a short time. Interiors can be dried again after a short, defined exposure time by the warm air stream.
Applications
Precipitation, washing out and dilution of toxic gases and aerosols (e. g. ammonia, chlorosilane, hydrogen cyanide, radionuclides)
Fighting pool fires with water and foam (e. g. tank farms, containers, drum storage)
Three-dimensional cooling of objects and facilities (e. g. chemical plants, steel works, tanks, columns, complex steel structures).
Shielding of plants and objects from fire sources
Pressurized ventilation and smoke extraction (e. g. halls, large buildings)
Large area disinfection/decontamination
Function
With a water input of 80 to 150 l/min, the THJ80 generates a spray jet cloud with an average droplet size of approx. 400 μm, which rains in a controlled manner over a distance of approx. 10 to 50 m and a height of 30 m. The engine, water monitors, water flow, water pressure and geometry are coordinated in such a way that the spray jet produces an average precipitation rate of approx. 4 – 6 l/(m² × min).
